Fill the World with Matsuri

Matsuri is a project that connects people worldwide through events (= Matsuri). By spreading the spirit of traditional Japanese "matsuri" (festivals) globally, we aim to deepen human connections and fill the world with enthusiasm.

Mission of the Matsuri Foundation

The Matsuri Foundation directly confronts the challenges of modern society: isolation, lack of communication, and, furthermore, a "lack of enthusiasm." We leverage blockchain technology to connect events worldwide, creating new forms of "matsuri" irrespective of physical or web-based venues. Matsuri transcends borders, overcomes language barriers, and, above all, ignites people's hearts.

While this project was initiated incorporating Web3 technologies, including cryptocurrency, we are confident that it transcends the mere framework of cryptocurrency and will lead to the creation of a 21st-century culture (Matsuri 3.0) that brings joy and enthusiasm to people worldwide.

Ambition of the Matsuri Foundation Not "Festival," but "Matsuri"!

The Matsuri Foundation aims to make "Matsuri" a universal term globally. Not merely as a word indicating an event, but as a term embodying the unique spirituality, sense of unity, and enthusiasm inherent in Japanese "matsuri," we will spread it throughout the world.

We insist on using the Japanese word "Matsuri" as is, rather than existing terms like "festival" or "carnival." This insistence embodies a strong desire to communicate the essence of Japanese culture to the world and promote cross-cultural understanding.

Through the word "Matsuri," people around the world connect, respect each other's cultures, and share joy together. By realizing such a vision, the Matsuri Foundation aims to contribute to world peace through the spirit of the matsuri.

Matsuri 3.0

The Matsuri Foundation advocates for "Matsuri 3.0," an update to the traditional concept of festivals utilizing Web3 technology. This is a new, autonomous, decentralized form of event that does not depend on centralized organizers, where each participant engages proactively and co-creates together.

Operated by a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), it realizes transparent and fair management through smart contracts and a token economy.

Community members can directly participate in crucial decisions such as event planning and content provision. Through the formation of a global community that transcends online and offline boundaries, people worldwide can connect through "Matsuri."

Matsuri 3.0 provides an open platform where anyone can freely create and participate in "matsuri." Through this, we aim for a future where diverse "Matsuri" events occur simultaneously worldwide, generating unprecedented levels of enthusiasm.
